I’m wearing black to a wedding in October bc that’s what the bride and groom requested. “All black semi formal attire” ☺️
I am such a traditional person, but tbh it’s all about what the bride and groom requests when it comes to attire.
Also, this is probably an extremely unpopular opinion, but I don’t know if I’ll be super strict about what people can wear if I ever get married one day. Times are hard & even harder for other people. Come as you are, but just look decent for the wedding. That’s all I would request bc I’d hate for someone to miss out bc they couldn’t find or afford to purchase an outfit.

I wear black to weddings, especially black tie. I think the rule is outdated and white is the only color off limits unless the bride instructs otherwise

Perfect timing for this video! I have my cousin’s wedding in march. It’s outdoor gardens evening black tie optional and am having a horrible time deciding what to wear. Like length and fit and color…there is not one thing I can decide on😆
To me, black is classic so can be worn anywhere unless you’re like the MOB or MOG and making a statement like this like a death or going to a funeral. 😅🤣 I say that because I actually heard a story where some petty mom did that. 😬 Just don’t wear all white or ivory, and you’re good imo. Have to say though, I’m not a fan of brides dictating exact colors guests should wear to their wedding just to fit their wedding aesthetics. I want my guests to feel comfortable and confident in whatever they choose as long as it’s occasion appropriate. I think it’s too much to tell ppl what color you want them to wear unless they’re your bridesmaid. Quite off putting imo and comes off bridezilla-ish. Not saying your friend is. To each their own. I’m sure she’s lovely, but that’s a no for me.

I love the cashmere wrap. I finally got it this past Christmas because of you! I would love to see how you use the body shimmer I am very very fair like you, and sometimes I would like to highlight my shoulders or collarbone but I get nervous I don't want to look glittery or orange.
