This is a very simple step that enhances the families view of there loved one. Never change the position of the Bride and Groom they still stay Groom on right, Bride on left looking at alter.

Hi,
I am a Justice of the Peace in Massachusetts and have been changing where the quests sit during the ceremony and getting very positive feedback. I position the Brides family on the right side facing the alter and the Grooms family on the left. Reason; the family wants to see the front of their family member! I have gotten many suggestions that "the ceremony would have been a better experience if I did not have to look at the back of the Bride" or Groom.
