Starting at $100 here, but for that I only include only 1 song. Ice Ice Baby or Informer. You pick which and it plays on a loop.
Wedding wire is all fake leads they have fake clients. I aquire their services about a year ago. And I use to get leads every day but no one ever book me.
I even got people phone numbers I call them and no one answer the phone. Text the client no reply. And when I got a reply it was to get more information we get the the final of closing the deal and never heard from the client back. And this guy's is promoting wedding wire. Lol. Be careful out there they will scam you.
So far only seen 2 of your videos and I gotta say you are great! Love that you get right to the point and everything you say is spot on. Keep up the great work. Thanx for the inspiration.
man grate video!
your the man Nick. hold it down!
$100 for a wedding? no way. a wedding, especially a WEDDING should be at LEAST $1,000. $100 for a DJ? yeah he’ll be trash.
Well if you are on a bidding website then obviously there will be cheaper djs. But if u get referrals outright then they prob wont be as cheap.
you talk a lot of none sense sir
when I raise my price I lose business
This is my thing. No one is gonna tell me how to price my services. I catch hate from other djs on my prices. I like doing lots of weddings. This year I’ll do about 100 weddings and my prices range from $700-$1200. I’m in the NC area, I have no hidden fees. My logic is if someone wants to really book you they will pay. You have to sell yourself. I know djs charge 3 times more than me I’ll kill them djing. My thing is if the clients are happy and I’m averaging $75-$100 hr im cool with it. I’ll do weekday and slow season weddings $500-$700 all day. With over 50 five star reviews
Today (2024), I think a good starting price for anyone getting into DJing weddings is about $75.00 an hour.
Make sure you account for travel time, labor, admin, correspondents, music purchases, licenses and equipment and you'll end up at around $900.00 ++ for a 3 hour gig.
just got asked to play an engagement party, this would be my very first gig, so basically no experience. it’s a 4 hour gig at a home and would be bringing my own speakers and minimal MC duties. is $500 still a fair price to charge?
How much do u charge for a wedding on average?
my first gig is a 50th wedding aniversary and im charging 300 for 5 hours
Who can tell anybody what to charge? Not everybody has a huge budget.
If you have the experience, the skills, the right equipment, and referrals, $1400 -$2000 per day in Los Angeles. Could go higher if extra production is required.
Bro that’s 150 dollars an hour!
i feel like a wedding dj should be getting at least $1500
I only do weddings for friends or family to help them save money. I hate weddings. 😂
I hired a $200 DJ once. Once.
The problem with charges are other DJ that give more cheap rate than other standard rate dj. That is why clients know someone who gave them that rate before so they know someone will take that kind of rate again.
Some of those companies out in the middle of nowhere don't have the demand. People will just get their own $100 bluetooth speaker and pull up a Spotify playlist.
Great content Nick and your videos are great, lol your pa comment about not being up on music 🎶 had me tight lol😂 but good stuff. 🎉
Its never the high end contracts causing all the drama. $1500 or I'm staying home and playing x-box. 🙂
I think those must be fake or terrible. In Fort Worth, Tx you can’t get a decent DJ for less than $1k. What you find on FB for 500 is not good.
500 is a family price.
Lols
I dispise these guys undercharging for Weddings and sweet 16s . I had my career and retired from it as well as part time djaying.
Now im at it full time and it bugs me how people give away their services.
hahahahahahahahahahaha
Wow, you have to do a new one see if anything is changed since this was done two years ago.
My guy…. booking a ton of weddings because you're cheap, is why you're booking a ton of weddings. Once the price is raised. The bookings will slow down. All theses cheap DJs of devalued the market, especially in my area here in NC. I've been keeping my starting proce at 1200 and I still feel that's low.
I won't even do a kid's birthday party for under 400. In my lowest basic wedding package starts at $1,200 and goes up to $1,800 in Massachusetts. I don't use WeddingWire and I am fucked all the time that is crazy there DJs doing it for under $500
It's more like when you are getting started so that you'll get a lot of booking and create a name. And then you can charge more when you more experienced and have better equipment
I know some weddings DJs that not worth $50 . Theres some DJs that make a playlist and play complete music….
Looking for bundle prices and finding hourly rates?
$100 hour? is probably what they mean.
We’re talking about per hour here right?
Jv movements 876 from Jamaica 🇯🇲 I collect 200 us for a wedding
$100 is way to cheap for providing quality dj and mc services.
$100 I’ll bring my keychain Bluetooth speaker and play a song off cocomelon
Those prices are nuts. There’s a DJ in my Area only charges 500 to 600 for a wedding. It takes him 4 hrs for setup. He doesn’t charge for travel time. Example he drove to S.C. to dj a wedding and only changed $500 bucks. Then he complains to me he doesn’t get the bookings like we do and we a close to 3 to 4times his price. He said he will never raise his wedding prices.
I charged 500 for wedding 25 years ago.
