What if we don’t know who all came to our wedding reception? My MIL insisted on planning our reception (had the real wedding during covid) and she invited so many people I don’t know. The whole thing was a blur and I didn’t know 80% of the people there. Some introduced themselves. I was surprised to see only about 20-30 cards/gifts when there were 200+ people (even if people came as a couple, that would only be 60 gifts out of 100 couples, so many people didn’t bring anything at all). We put out a guest book but only a few people signed it. I just moved to this area where my husband is from and it seems like people are just casual. Should I assume if they didn’t right their name in the guest book or bring a gift that I can’t be sure they were there?
