I am 18 years old and I am thinking it because I am overthinker
I love how everything seems based on assumptions with zero data to support them. Especially on stuff like polyamory. Career chaos? Where are the studies that testify this?

no right or wrong anyway. i mean yes there is but let's focus towards onto what would fit for us, since different human is a different biological machinery with errors and constant requirement of repair. we dunno if this "good thing" is good for you or if this "bad thing" is bad for you either.

Tell everyone you are married, introduce each other as your wife/husband, wear rings if you like, live together have kids, do everything a married couple would, just dont have a legal ceremony or signed marriage papers.
Handfastsing lasts 2-3years if i remember right, before you can review and extend or end the partnershsip.
You should know however, that pair bonding and the ability of men and women to stay committed falls dramatically the more people you sleep around with.

Regret vs Regret. There is sad regret and frustrating regret.
If you don't marry because the choice was made for you (nobody cared for you; unrequited love), it's sadness+regret. Very tough to live with but feasable (I can attest).
If you don't marry because the choice was yours (Turned away a proposal but unsure it was best), it's frustration+regret. Easier to live with.
Kirkegaard turned down women but I think he regreted it at times because he kept regurgitating the issue. But it's OK, he knew was responsible of his choice (philosphy is indebted to his choice), albeit a frustrating one.
Women thought Tesla was goodlooking and smart, he prefered doing science over women. No sadness, no frustration, no regrets. Just perfect, I envy him.
