Thanks for watching! When are you going to send your invitations? And if you've already sent them, when did you decide to send them?

Im working some details with the venue but it looks like it will be may 2025. Unfortunately it will be a destination wedding for about half the guests. But im planning around September 2024 just for those who will be traveling can make sure their passports up to date

Wedding is in October 2024. I sent our save the dates out in February 2024. Then, our invitations out in April 2024. Invitation includes our website telling them I'm also planning a bridal shower in July 2024. On top of everything we are expecting in June 2024. Food needs to be in and counted by September so all RSVPS all set for 9/30/24. I didn't think I was too early…

The only thing with that though is catering how do you know how many people can actually come?

I know this is an old vid Lauren, but I was wondering – do we need to send save the dates? Or shall we just tell our guest the date and send them an invite nearer the time? Also we're thinking about digital invites coz we're on a budget

I'm getting married in exactly 363 days from now .. when should I possibly send them? I was wondering if April would be a good month or earlier?

The wedding is less than three months away, it’s super casual and just a small group, 50 people. Should I send save the date notifications and then an invitation” virtually “or just send the invitation ASAP

I’m not engaged yet but my boyfriend has told me he’s probably going to propose this year and to send him engagement ring ideas 😂

We’ve talked about weddings a few times and we know we definitely want to have a long engagement of 18 months or 2 years so we can save up as much as possible.
I know our families will want to contribute, especially as my dad is extremely traditional and my Mums parents paid for the majority of their wedding but because of that my grandmother basically planned everything for them and they didn’t have much choice in what they wanted so I’d prefer to pay for as much of it myself as I can so that I have full control over what I want because I do have a specific vision and it’s not all as traditional as I know my dad would like.
My boyfriend is from Australia and only moved to the UK a couple of years ago so I’ve never met his family in person although I’ve spoken to some of them a few times on the phone, mainly his parents because we call them every week or two.
We are planning a visit there in August so I’m guessing that’s probably going to be where he proposes as a lot of his family and friends won’t be able to make it to the actual wedding due to travel costs or health reasons so it would make sense for him to pop the question there in a place that’s special to him and then we can have some sort of engagement party with all his loved ones to celebrate as we will definitely be getting married in the Uk because I have a big family of 30+ people and we’re all very close! He always planned for this move to the UK to be permanent so he said he’s always assumed if he got married it would be here but it is a bit gutting that his grandparents won’t be able to be there and everyone on “his side” won’t have as much involvement.
I think we will send out our save the dates ASAP to give the Australian guests time to decide whether or not it la possible for them to come and to save up for the flights and accommodation etc.
The post is incredibly unreliable over there as well so always better to send things as early as possible I think! The 2 month theory you had makes a lot of sense though!
Most people that I will invite I talk to a lot so they’ll know most details before the invites are sent anyway so I don’t want to give them ages to respond in case they forget! 😂
The evening guests aren’t quite as important because they aren’t costing as much money haha
Do evening guests even have to officially respond? 🤔 I was invited to the evening of my friends sisters wedding and there was no rsvp card or anything but I’ve said verbally that my partner and I will be there 🤷🏼‍♀️

We sent save the dates 12 months before and sending out our invitations in January for our July wedding. The save the dates were such a waste of time as we have had around half our guests asking us again when the wedding is and a few of them have since booked a holiday even though we sent save the dates 😂

I hope this isn't a dumb question! Do you send save the dates to evening guests? We are keeping our ceremony guest list quite small, so I do have a lot of close friends and family only coming to the evening. Would it be worth sending them a "save the evening" version?

Most of my family live in Portugal so how far in advance do you suggest that I send the invites in this circumstance? I’m also creating a wedding website with all the additional information. We’re getting married in April 2023! Thank you for all your helpful information!

Hi Lauren , we've recently relocated 4.5 hours from our home town. Our wedding is going to take place in our new location therefore guests will have to travel and stay over. Would you still send invites out two months before ? Or give guests more time to book accommodation etc ? Thank you ❤️

Question: if you send the invitation 2 months before the wedding won't you end up with no idea of the number of guests until it's kind of too late?

I love the idea of giving guests 2 months to reply, I was pondering on how long to give guests. We booked our Venue in February 2019, get Married October 2021 and I sent out the Save the Dates, pretty much straight away!

Literally cant get enough of your videos! I really want to do a wedding website but I'm worried I'm not going to have time to create one. Are you able to suggest how I could get one done quickly. I'm not very tech savvy. 🤪
